NCSL Board Meeting

January 6, 2014

Westin Hotel-Falls Church, VA

The NCSL board meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Vice President Stephanie Dorah.

Roll call was taken but absent clubs are excused due to inclement weather.

November 2013 meeting minutes were approved unanimously.

The R&D Chairman has retired.  We thank Barry for his many years of service to NCSL.

Reports

VA Commissioner: Maureen Dalbec-  There is a form available to all club reps on their club rep page, that is very helpful for the structure committee.  It is required for the high school age teams and would be very helpful for the U12-U14.

There is a PCA list on the web site of coaches .  If it states Spring 14 you need to renew your PCA certification.  There are free PCA courses on March 17 and 20.  You do need to preregister.  There are also PCA courses offered by clubs that will work for certification, those are also listed on the web site.

 

MD Commissioner-no report-absent

 

R&D has posted a list on the web site of sit outs owed.  Please check the list for your club.

 

Kathleen- Entry materials are due tonight.  The next important date for you to remember is February 1.  Everything is due then,  Fields, schedule request forms, drops, structure forms, they are all due Feb. 1.

 

President- Richard Smith-absent

 

Treasurer-Anne Maynes-no report

 

Registrar-Virginia-Lisa Wilson-The VA convention is Jan.31 and Feb.1 in Richmond.  One of the sessions will be regarding the data base for the teams.  Please let your teams know about this session.  There are still issues on how to release players, etc. and this session will cover all concerns.  Md will have the same system next year, if anyone from MD would like to come they are very welcome.  The session will be on Saturday, Feb.1.

 

Registrar-MD-Mike Basileo-MD did finish the module to let rec players get an official pass so that will be available this spring.
