MLS Playoff Scenario - Follow D.C. United to MLS Cup Final - LIVE on ABC Sunday, November 12th
The first round of the MLS Playoffs are a home/away series and the winner is determined on an aggregate scoring system (whoever scores the most goals over the two games wins the series). D.C. United will travel to play New York on 10/21 at 2pm. The 2nd match will be played at RFK Stadium on 10/29 - 6PM and if the aggregate scoring is tied at the end of this match, the teams will play two (2) 15 minute overtime periods. If the aggregate score is still tied, the winner will be decided by penalty kicks. If D.C. United wins, they will host the Eastern Conference Final (one match) on either 11/5 at 4pm. If tied after regulation and overtime, winner will be decided by penalty kicks.
